St. Chux Derby Chix began in August of 2009 with five women and dream.  These original Chix were worse than from the wrong side of the trax, they were on the wrong side of the River (Missouri that is).  Although St. Louis city has an established Roller Derby team, many girls felt it was just too far a drive, especially to practice 3-4 times per week.  These girls needed local, hardcore derby and it turns out tons of other Chux County Chix wanted it too. 

Establishing a skater run, skater owned competitive Derby team was just the beginning, taking the good word to the streets (and to Craigslist) helped swell the ranks.  Quickly the numbers of skaters grew until in December of 2009 SC/DC officially incorporated, adopted a set of bylaws and made plans for their first competitive season. 

SC/DC is currently a USARS (USA Roller Sports) team.  USARS follows the same rules and guidelines that WFTDA does and we are able to bout against WFTDA teams as well.
